Millennium Square Leeds
The city's first new public square in over 60 years has been created to mark the new millennium. It is set to provide a new focus for Leeds, being surrounded by some of the city's most important buildings, such as the Town Hall, Civic Hall, Leeds General Infirmary and the Civic Theatre.
A £5.4 million grant from the Millennium Commission has made the project possible. The area will become the city's most impressive civic space, with old buildings being brought back into use and cleaning and lighting of the city's best architecture.
This is a perfect city centre location for Marquees - a prestigious location for your event.
The designs show three squares within one - the main central square, another to the north of the square and a new garden to the south with a fountain. The surface is of limestone and Yorkstone paving. The square can be converted into a venue for entertainment, civic ceremonies, drama, music and dance.
