Corn Exchange Leeds
This spectacular local landmark provides a magnificent venue in the very centre of Leeds.
Built in 1862 by Cuthbert Broderick, a young Yorkshire architect who had received international acclaim for his competition winning design for Leeds Town Hall, the building was inspired by the Paris Corn Exchange.
During refurbishment in 1990, the ground floor was opened up to make use of the piazza area below. Now hailed as the 'Covent Garden of the North' the building has since won awards for architecture including the Ironbridge Award.
