Dine in the City
October saw the successful launch of Dine in the City.

This wonderful event, which took place at Leeds Town Hall marked the start of Dine's exclusive contract to provide all Hospitality and Event Catering at the Leeds Town Hall, Carriageworks Theatre and Conference complex and the new contemporary Leeds Museum.

These three landmarks of Leeds offer spectacular opportunities for all manner of spectacular events and conferences, which were introduced to all those who attended while they enjoyed Champagne, sumptuous canapés and some fabulous music and entertainment.

"These are wonderful buildings, steeped in culture and history, and quite simply the best Leeds has to offer," says Cllr John Procter, executive member for Leisure at Leeds City Council.

"We are delighted to be partnering Leeds City Council at these very special venues." said Daniel Gill, Managing Director of Dine. "The scope to provide such a range of events, with venues able to accommodate 10 guests to 1200 guests is a very exciting proposition."

From Paris to Berlin
From Paris to Berlin, Belgium to Croatia and Hungary to Slovenia, delegates came from across the European Union to the prestigious Entente Fleural Awards Ceremony to celebrate Harrogate Borough Council's international success in the competition.

Guests enjoyed a Champagne Reception and a sumptuous 3 Course Meal in the spectacular surroundings of Ripon Cathedral.

From Paris to Berlin

Dine were chosen to provide the hospitality for this esteemed international gathering, not only for their renowned high standards of food and service, but for their expertise in working on large scale events in unusual environments.

As the stonemasons of the 1500's did not provide large scale catering facilities, it was necessary to close a road adjacent to the Cathedral and build a 27 metre long kitchen marquee on 4ft high scaffolding stilts to ensure that a delicious meal could be prepared from fresh and delivered to the tables piping hot and looking fantastic.

"The food was delicious, red hot and beautifully presented and served. You are a highly professional outfit, I was terribly impressed." said Lynne Mee, Communications and Media Manager for Harrogate Borough Council.

Dine out in Cannes
Dine has again delivered all cuisine and hospitality aboard the Location Leeds floating showcase at the international property and development exhibition and conference, MIPIM at Cannes, South of France.

Between 13th and 16th March 2007, Dine's 11-strong team served investors, developers and agents with over 1,000 glasses of champagne and 3,000 canapes aboard the luxury Location Leeds Yacht, supporting the city's bid to promote itself as the ideal business and investment location.

Competition is fierce at MIPIM as cities from across the UK and Europe vie for the attention of movers and shakers in the world of commercial property, and once again Dine was invited to serve up a menu that would do Leeds and Yorkshire proud.

"MIPIM is an ideal platform for Leeds to promote its development schemes and business services to an international audience of investors" says Dine Managing Director Daniel Gill.

"The floating hospitality suite  enables business partners and guests to meet and discuss opportunities that will benefit the city in the future. Dine's job is to deliver them a level of cuisine and hospitality that underlines Leeds' credentials for quality"

Dine's daily menu started early with mini breakfast Paninis served in 'Location Leeds' branded wrap-arounds, washed down with shots of Mango and Guarana Smoothie. Later each morning it was time to wheel out Dine's famous 'brunch on a spoon' of mini sausage, egg and bacon.

As the afternoon unfolded the menu offered a traditional Yorkshire afternoon tea comprising baby triangular sandwiches of salmon and cream cheese, miniature scones with cream and jam, and skewers of Wensleydale cheese with Betty's fruit cake.

This was all washed down with 10,000 shots of freshly ground espresso served in 'Location Leeds' cups from a specialist bean-to-cup coffee machine. All catering ingredients and equipment were shipped out from Dine's commercial kitchens in Leeds for what has now become an annual operation of military precision and proportions.

"We're just delighted to help fly the flag for Leeds once again." says Daniel Gill. "It's a huge challenge, but we understand the finer points of delivering corporate hospitality on the big stage; it's what Dine is all about."

This is the fourth year running that Dine has supported Location Leeds' presentation at MIPIM, with the annual cocktail party, just one of the week's events, being oversubscribed every year so far.

Dining Fit for a Prince
Having catered for the most discerning palates in some of Yorkshire's greatest country houses Dine has now added the Royal family to its list of culinary achievements.

On 1 March Dine were invited to create a special menu of champagne, canapes and a Summer Fork Menu for HRH Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex and 40 VIP guests.

The occasion marked the official opening of Litestructures Studios, the UK's largest purpose built rehearsal arena, near Wakefield.

Dine were chosen for their Michelin-level expertise in catering and events to create a light and delicious menu for their special guest. Canapes included Mini Yorkshire Puddings, tartlets of Caprini Goat's Cheese and Mini Rosti Potato Cups topped with Peat-Smoked Lamb Fillet.

Dine's new Summer Fork Menu, a twist on the traditional buffet, allowed guests to mingle whilst enjoying fresh and expertly prepared food by Dine's master chefs.

Daniel Gill, Managing Director of Dine said "We are delighted to have been chosen to cater for HRH Prince Edward at this special venue which has already attracted so much worldwide attention to the region."

Other guests represented Screen Yorkshire and the Royal TV Society as well as local dignitaries and MPs.

HRH the Earl of Wessex toured the venue, offically opening the studio where stars such as Robbie Williams, Coldpaly and Scissor Sisters have rehearsed before embarking on world tours.

Acquisition adds Allerton Castle to Dine's portfolio of venues
Dine is expanding its operations with the acquisition of one of Yorkshire's longest-established catering firms and the exclusive rights to provide services at historic Allerton Castle, a magnificent backdrop to any corporate event.
