Hazlewood Castle, Tadcaster
Hazlewood Castle is a spectacular 12th century castle set in an idyllic rural location, and yet only 30 minutes from Leeds and York.
Hazlewood Castle is mentioned in the Doomsday book and was the home of the Vavasour family for 900 years. It became a maternity hospital during the 2nd World War and then was sold to the Carmelite Friars and became a monastery.
Now a 21 bedroom hotel, Hazlewood Castle offers a combination of historic setting and convenient access. Its grounds can offer a number of sites for marquee events as well as corporate team building.
In addition, wedding parties can choose a civil ceremony in a number of the state rooms or a blessing in St Leonard's Chapel.
